Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: POWTREE 6.0Ah V8 SV10 Battery Replacement Compatible with Dyson V8 Animal/Absolute/Motorhead/Fluffy/SV10 Handheld Cordless Vacuum Cleaner Li-ion Battery

I just saw online that you were investigating a different company so I thought I would let you know that I had bought a replacement battery for my Dyson vacuum cleaner from Amazon. I put it in the vacuum, and the vacuum caught on fire while it was in my hand, it completely destroyed the vacuum and luckily I did not get hurt even though I was holding it and got a slight burn. I left a review on Amazon with a picture of the destroyed vacuum in the damage from the burnt battery, I bought it on September 28th 2022, it was sold by a company called RH technology but was manufactured by a company called Powtree. I notified the seller and they sort of apologize but it was obviously didn’t really care. Like I said I just saw that you were investigating some other instances of this and thought maybe it might help.
