The product, in the report: Meijer, Powercell, D-Size, Alkaline Batteries
An 11 month old baby was placed in a wagon. A “[REDACTED]” was also in the wagon. The air pump contained 4 D-size batteries. The baby began to cry and the parents initially were unsure what provoked the crying. When they picked up the baby, they discovered that potassium chloride from the alkaline batteries had leaked and was burning the baby’s posterior thigh. The baby’s diaper also absorbed the battery fluid.
