  1. No one hurt

Made May 27, 2018, sent to the company Aug 3, 2018, published by CPSC Aug 17, 2018

The product, in the report: Charging Power Bag Charm. Item number 400000647340. It is a plush Halloween pumpkin about 5 inches.

I purchased a power bank bag charm from Charming Charlie on May 26. When I returned home I charged it for 3 hours per the instructions and then unplugged it and placed it on an end table in the Family Room. The following day May 27 around 10:30 am we noticed a funny smell. Looking around I saw the power bank smoking. The lithium battery burned through. It was not attached to any electronic and spontaneously began to smoke. It singed a case it was laying next to. Fortunately since we were home we were able to move it to avoid a fire. No one was hurt and the damage was limited to the case and a small patch of carpet when I knocked it on the floor. I will attach pictures showing the item damage as well as the instructions and tags that came with the product. This item should be recalled so no one is hurt.
