The product, in the report: Milwaukee 18V - 8, 9, and 12 amp hour lithium ion batteries for power hand tools. Model 48-11-1812 UPC 045242519200

My boyfriend was using his Milwaukee grinder tool with the 12ah lithium ion battery, when all of a sudden the battery started shooting flames out of it. He ran to get the fire extinguisher and ultimately had to hose it down to put the fire out. Prior to retrieving the fire extinguisher he removed the battery from the grinder. While putting out the fire, he was forced to breathe in the toxic smoke and had the hair singed from his arm and hand. Because it would not go out immediately, it damaged my deck.

We purchased 5 lengthy amp hour batteries at approximateky the same time. Every one of them has died within 3 months of purchase. The other 4 will not charge at all, and this one blew up in his hand. The batteries we purchased are as follows. 1-8ah 3-9ah 1-12ah We own an HVAC business, and use strictly Milwaukee tools. It is high season for us, and are losing money every day that we are forced to scrounge for tools to work with.
