This message is to notify you that the battery EXPLODED! The first explosion sprayed burning embers across the carpet burning holes in the carpet. It ignited the backpack that the computer was sitting on top of. I smothered the flames and took the burning backpack and battery outside on our balcony. The battery then exploded two more times and reignited. I had installed the battery in my DV6T computer and plugged in several hours earlier. Fortunately no one was burned by the flying, burning embers. The carpet has seventy burned spots, some are 19 feet from the explosion, and it will need replacing, and the backpack is ruined.
