The product, in the report: Enegitech 9v lithium battery installed in [REDACTED]-240V 50/60hz

The lithium battery was installed into a gas detector as a backup power source. Both the battery and the detector were purchased 4/2017. I unplugged the detector to use the outlet and forgot to plug it back in. Two days later, the unit burst into flames at 2am when it appears the lithium battery may have exploded, though the flame was coming from a different section of the unit so it is unclear cause. Had my husband not been awake and hear the loud popping noise, the home would have burned. He caught it on the second explosion and found it to have flames of 2-3 inches spewing from it.
