The product, in the report: Power Bank EC Technology 26800mAh Dual Input Port (4A) Portable Charger External Battery, 3 Auto IC USB Ports (5.5A) for iPhone, iPad, Samsung, Nexus, HTC and More- Black

While we were asleep st home, a lithium ion battery from EC Technology that we had purchased two months earlier from Amazon.com unexpectedly exploded, starting multiple small fires next to our bed. The battery was not being charged, nor was it charging any other devices at the time. The battery was sitting next to my wife’s side of the bed on the carpet.

We have lost many items due to the fire and resulting toxic fumes damage. My wife has experienced damage to her eyes and significant irritation to her skin, feet, and throat/lungs. We don’t know the full extent of her injuries as doctor visits are still occurring.
