The product, in the report: Bonacell 22.2V 4000mAh [REDACTED] Replacement Battery Compatible with [REDACTED] Sold by: Bonacelldirect
Bought a replacement battery for a [REDACTED] through Amazon. The battery was advertised and sold as a comparable replacement battery and represented as safe. The battery was sold by a company called Bonacell direct. Bonacell 22.2V 4000mAh [REDACTED] Replacement Battery Compatible with [REDACTED] The item was installed in the [REDACTED] vacuum replacing the original battery and it immediately shorted out the vacuum motor and began to cause a fire. I immediately removed the battery and ensured the vacuum motor was no longer burning. The [REDACTED] was damaged beyond repair. If I had not removed the battery, it would have caused a significant fire and damage. I contacted Amazon who refunded the battery and left a warning review on the product page. The next day the item was mysteriously delisted from Amazon but the manufacturer/ seller still has numerous other batteries listed with similar reports of issues.
