The product, in the report: (I purchased the items from http://www.rcplanet.com, so the code numbers are theirs.) Battery: Align 6S1P 22.2V 2600mAh/25C/B AGNKX870008A Charger: Align Intelligent Balance Charger RCC-6CX AGNKX850162A
The incident involved a battery and charger manufactured by ALIGN Corp.,Ltd. The battery is for a radio-controlled helicopter. It is a 22.2v 2600mAh battery that connects to the charger via an interface board. When I connected the battery to the interface board (incorrectly, as it happens, but not illogically) the wiring immediately burst into flames at least 3 inches high. I burned a finger, but was fortunate to avoid more serious consequences.
