No one hurt Made Feb 4, 2026, sent to the company Mar 6, 2026, published by CPSC Mar 20, 2026
The product, in the report: Lithium ion laptop battery
Sold me a used and defective laptop as new. It needed a new battery. They sent a lithium ion battery with clipped connection wires. They gave me a return label to ship it back, and the deleted all records of it from my account.
It arrived with the damage already done despite again being advertised as new. I discovered there was something wrong with it when it touched the motherboard, sparked, instantly burned me, luckily did not explode, and I dropped it on my bed.
