The product, in the report: Tessan sells thru Amazon.com a large variety of 2 to 3 prong adapters. None of these have accommodations for the ground plug. Model TS-164US-JP All can be deadly for the consumer. See Amazon (one example) https://www.amazon.com/Adapter-TESSAN-Extender-Splitter-Philippine/dp/B08P6FDQYL Another manufacturer is [REDACTED]
There are several versions of dangerous electrical products on sale by Amazon. The devices are generally listed as “2 to 3 prong adapters”. One manufacturer is Tessan. I have tried to notify both with no response, The adapter allow a 3 prong grounded device to be plugged into a 2 prong (non-grounded) plug. There is no grounding tab to connect to earth ground, leaving the consumer at risk if the device develops an internal short. See [REDACTED] for reference: [REDACTED] Please note, I have not been injured, but I know of people who have died using a 2 to 3 prong adapter w/o a grounding tab.
