The product, in the report: Tenergy Multifunctional Charger Model TR-001 for Lithium batteries.

I purchased new a Tenergy Multifiunctional Charger for Li-ion batteries. On it’s third use, it POPed and ignited into flames. [REDACTED] The unit was sitting on a tiled surface, fortunately, and we were able to extinguish the flames before the structure of our house caught fire.

UPDATE: After further investigation, and speaking with an expert at a local battery store, and examining the battery, I now believe that the battery burst and ignited the fire. The battery is SP Lithium CR123A 3V Made in China and evidently NOT meant for recharging.
