Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: Sharper Image TS1498-Plate Power. Has a regular plug in receptacle on top and 2 USB receptacles on the bottom. It is the same size as a regular wall plug in and it plugs into a regular wall plug in.

I plugged my iron into the plug-in adapter that was in the wall outlet. I ironed 2 shirts, which took maybe 20 minutes. When I tried to unplug the iron the iron’s plug-in burned my finger and thumb. Upon inspection, the cord plug was all melted into the adapter. It smelled like burning electrical wires.
