The product, in the report: 12 volt battery maintaining float charger. SKU# 210400522 Item was severely damaged by the fire.

Investigated a fire in a detached garage adjacent to a single family dwelling. Fire originates near a 2007 [REDACTED] that was last run in November of 2019. The motorcycle’s battery was attached to a 12 volt float charger plugged into an extension cord (appears to be an appropriate gauge) and into an outlet. The motorcycle has been plugged in since November when it was parked. Interviews with the owner indicate that the battery was still attached to the vehicle. The battery tender was purchased at rural king and identified by the owner as Model # BMFC12V (SKU: 210400522). After investigating and ruling out other potential sources of ignition, the battery charger is my ignition source for this fire.
