The product, in the report: Power Pod A black Power Pod keychain phone charger
I received a Power Pod keychain phone charger for Christmas. Tonight I removed it from its packaging to use. I plugged it into my phone; the blue light was on, but it was not charging my phone. I assumed the power pod was not charged, so I plugged it into a USB puck in a kitchen wall outlet using the manufacturer’s provided cord. I noticed when I plugged it in, its red light turned on. About one hour later, I heard a loud pop and turned around to see it on fire on our kitchen counter. I was in the adjacent dining area with my two young children and was able to quickly unplug the device from the wall outlet and put out the fire with a rag. The fire had already spread to several items on the counter and burned the counter itself. No injuries occurred.
