The product, in the report: Olight-UC Universal Magnetic USB Charger for Lithium ion. It is a blue bodied device that plugs into a USB port. There are two wires with magnetic contacts that come out to attach and charge a battery. Product appears to no longer be for sale from the MFG.
My wife was home when the smoke alarms went off. Upstairs was filled with a haze of smoke. She identified the room, but not the source. I was home a few minutes later and used a thermal camera to identify the source. It was an “OLight-UC” Universal Magnetic USB Charger for Lithium ion batteries. This caught on fire, melted through the housing, and melted another USB cable next to it.
