  1. Hurt, care not known

Made Dec 13, 2012, sent to the company Jan 3, 2013, published by CPSC Jan 17, 2013

The product, in the report: Nyko Charge Station. A base station to charge remotes for the [REDCATED] console. Plugs into wall, comes with two rechargeable battery packs. White with blue lights signifying dock connection. Holds two remotes.

A fire was sparked in my home at 12am when I was not there. I believe it was caused by the NYKO charging [REDACTED] charging base station I purchased in 2008 or 2007. I recall the [REDACTED] being very hot after charging them on the station fro a while, even burning my hand a few times.

And after perusing the internet, today I found out that they have been recalled, which I did not know previous to this.

My base station was plugged into the wall next to a strip outlet that held other electronic devices. The chargers were charging, as nothing was since I was away and when I came home the next morning I found out that a fire had occurred overnight and me entire apartment was a total loss. This product is extremely unsafe and should be taken off the market.
