The product, in the report: usbthere charging cord triple head
Last night a triple head USB charging cord ( from www.usbthere.shop ) melted into a rubber type coaster (for drinking glasses to prevent water rings from damaging the finish on furniture.
The cord was plugged into the electrical outlet but not into any device. It is possible that the plug landed on a small drop of water left from the condensation of a glass sweating when the phone was removed after charging (but this is not for certain).
The burnt coaster was smelt last night before going to bed and the smell was investigated but nothing was found as checking the ends of an unplugged charging cord was not on our ‘radar’. The damage was not found until the phone needed to be plugged in to charge. The plug was fused to the coaster.
Use as you see fit to make others aware of the possibility of fire.
