The product, in the report: Just Wireless 2.4A/12W 1-Port USB-A Wall Charger with 5’ TPU Lightning to USB-A Cable - White
The product is: Just Wireless 2.4/12W 1-Port USB-A Wall Charger with 5’ TPU Lightning to USB-A Cable - White We purchased the product August 11, 2024 at Target (Wilmington, NC). The charger (A) was plugged into a multi-port outlet. I heard a clicking noise coming from the outlet. I thought maybe it was another charger (B) that had just been plugged in. I unplugged the charger (B) and the clicking stopped. Later in the day, I was explaining the experience to my husband, who is an electrical engineer. I took charger (B) and went to plug it back in to replicate the experience. The clicking started immediately, before I even got it plugged in. My husband yelled at me to stop and get back. He said the noise was arcing. He immediately went to the fuse box and turned off the electricity. Upon investigating, we found the charger (A), which was still plugged in, had a prong broken off. With the electricity still off, my husband used pliers to remove the broken off prong. He turned the electricity back on and everything was fine from that point.
I went to the Target website, where we purchased the product, and found a number of reviews that reported the same and similar problems.

The product, in the report: Just Wireless charging block model #04441
Was using a recently purchased charging block for [REDACTED] charging that was bought from Target (made by Just Wireless) and the charging block started smoking, melted and burnt a hole in oil couch before we had a chance to unplug it. If we had not caught it in time, it would surely started a fire in our home.

Asked 2 months ago by Anonymous. A: Answer Hi, Thank you for purchasing a Just Wireless product. USB-C is the new standard port instead of USB. The USB QC3.0 port uses [REDACTED] technology which allows for the charging of battery powered devices, primarily mobile phones, at levels above and beyond the typical 5 volts and 2 amps for which most USB standards allow. This means you can charge the device connected on the QC3.0 port faster than the other ports. This power hub is a plug-and-play device and doesn’t need instructions. Learn more about USB-C here: [REDACTED] Thank you :) Answered 2 months ago by JustWireless https://www.bestbuy.com/site/just-wireless-4-port-usb-hub-white/6053900.p?skuId=6053900
Plugged a usb charger cable into phone and 4-port usb quick charge. sku: 13400
Looked up after about 5 min. to see a thin trail of smoke coming from the cable on the cell phone side. Only 3-4 ft. away, I grabbed cable and small yellow flame appeared. Put it back down to smother flame.

Hurt, no treatment Made May 29, 2019, sent to the company Jun 21, 2019, published by CPSC Jul 9, 2019
The product, in the report: Just Wireless - Apple MFi Certified 6’ Lightning USB Charging Cable - Slate gray nylon braided sheathed charging cable.
My wife and I purchased two Just Wireless - Apple MFi Certified 6’ Lightning USB Charging Cable - Slate gray charging cables for use in our minivan. These cables stay in the car and are not removed so they see only minimal wear and tear. We purchased these from Best Buy in Eau Claire, WI on February 26, 2019. On May 28, 2019, my wife noticed that her iPhone was not showing that it was connected to the charger consistently. It would sporadically stop charging. However, there were no physical signs of damage to the charger visible on inspection. Later in the day, when she tried to plug her phone in again, the cable, about a centimeter below the actual charging plug started getting really hot and smoking. Before she could let go, the nylon sheath of the cable melted, burning her thumb. I managed to unplug the based of the cable from the cigarette lighter plug. We’re not sure what happened exactly, but somehow there is not a melted hole in the sheath where you can see the electrical wires underneath. I have heard of several complaints about the safety of frayed phone chargers, but this model of the charger with the flexible nylon sheath hides any signs of apparent damage or defect underneath and poses a serious risk of electrical shock or burns.
