No incident, no one hurt Made Mar 31, 2026, sent to the company Apr 2, 2026, published by CPSC Apr 23, 2026
The product, in the report: A Charmast portable charger purchased from Amazon caught fire while stored inside a drawer in my residence. The device was not in use or actively charging at the time of the incident. The fire originated from the charger itself and produced heat, smoke, and visible burning. The charger had been recently purchased and showed no prior signs of damage or misuse. This incident created a significant risk of property damage and personal injury due to the location inside a closed drawer within the home. The failure appears consistent with a lithium-ion battery malfunction and presents a serious fire hazard.
