The product, in the report: Charging Station For Multiple Devices 40-Port 20W PD USB-C Charger for Iphone Ipad Smartphones Tablets
Smelled chemical/burning smell, located the melted charging cord attached to the port. The charging station was plugged into the wall, the specific charging cable that melted was not in use at the time. It is used to charge tablets/phones/ etc. The item was purchased on January 24th 2026 on Amazon from a seller “Shenzhenshi Dongting Shijie Technology Co., Ltd” and was in use up until this week. I notified Amazon on Wednesday when it occurred and they weren’t able to help me at the time - they provided me a link to get incontact with the seller as it was past their 120 day window which did not work and the sellers page is not on Amazon any longer. I did get in contact with them today again and they noted that they would take the necessary steps to report it. The item was purchased from Amazon in the USA and was being used at a home in Canada when the incident occured. The item is not available to purchase in Canada, hence why I am reporting it in the USA where it was purchased from.
