The product, in the report: Black AT&T phone charger
On October 17, 2025, around 7:30 PM, I was plugging in my AT&T-branded phone charger when I felt an electric shock in my hand. When I tried again, I experienced a burning sensation on my fingers. The connector of the charger had melted, revealing exposed wiring, and melted plastic stuck to my skin.
My finger is red, painful, and starting to blister. I plan to seek medical treatment.
The charger has the AT&T logo and was purchased directly from an AT&T retail store. This appears to be a defective and unsafe product that poses a risk of burns or fire.
I have kept the charger and can provide photos of the melted connector, my injury, and the packaging if needed
