The product, in the report: Portable Charger 5000mAh [REDACTED]

On August 27th, 2026 at approximately 8:55pm Denver time, the APHUWJ HX45X2 portable charger, purchased on Amazon, spontaneously exploded and caught fire while charging. We looked over in shock after the explosion to see a 3-foot flame coming out of the charger. The fire spread to nearby photos, the explosion caused it to drop to our wood floor and catch it on fire. My son immediately ran to grab water and extinguished the fires that had started and had we not been home would have certainly resulted in significant property damage to our home as well as injury or possible death to our two dogs which were home at the time. Acrid smoke was inhaled by two of us, our smoke detectors were activated. We were able to extinguish it ourselves. The device has been retained as evidence.
