  1. Hospital admission

Made Jan 7, 2020, sent to the company Feb 3, 2020, published by CPSC Feb 18, 2020

The product, in the report: Hdx steel roller stand with edge guide for holding extended length materials

On december 15th 2019 while doing some remodel work and using the hdx roller stands from home depot to cut baseboards one of the stands had a failure of the roller pin and guide that supposed to keep the material from falling off, as a result the board fell off the stand and forced my left hand into the saw blade, resulting in multiple fingers injured and amputation of my left index finger! Ive since read multiple negitive reviews on this product claiming the same malfunction.. this product was purchased for what was claimed to be a safer option with the material guides, but due to poor testing and product function im now battling with this injury witch will be followed up with a defective product lawsuit! Please recall this item before others are injured..
