I turned on my Duracell 1500 Lumen Work Light while opening my garage door, holding it in the crook of my arm. Within 10-20 seconds, while the light was resting on my jacket, I felt intense heat, saw smoke, and smelled burning. I quickly realized the smoke was coming from the work light. As soon as I realized what was happening, I immediately dropped the light to the ground. Even after turning it off, a burnt odor still lingers from the unit. Thankfully, I reacted quickly, but if the light had been left unattended, it could have caused serious damage or even a fire. I am deeply concerned about whether other consumers have experienced similar overheating issues and whether this product meets appropriate safety standards. Can this please be investigated?
