The product, in the report: 4 foot LED shop light
I purchased a 4 foot Commercial Electric LED shop light from Home Depot and it caught on fire in our basement. My wife plugged a clothes iron into the plug at the end of the light and a few moments later the light was in flames. Thankfully she was able to put out the fire and no damage occurred. There is no warning label on the light fixture, or in the manual or on the packaging materials stating that you shouldn’t use that plug for other items. After some research, there are several reviews on Home Depot’s website back to 2021 of these shop lights catching on fire. I contacted Feit Electric about the issue per their response to my review on Home Depot’s website, who I assume produce the product and is relabeled as a Commercial Electric product, they seem to be aware of the issue and also are completely unconcerned about their lights catching fire.
