First aid Made Nov 3, 2014, sent to the company Nov 13, 2014, published by CPSC Dec 1, 2014
The product, in the report: A/C Powered Hot Glue Gun
Glue gun ignited after being plugged into a socket protected by a surge protector. Wire exploded out from the base of the plug which created a large flash / bang. Hand was covered with powder burns and residue as a result. Luckily, ignition occurred upon immediately inserting into socket, so as to not allow a fire to resonate throughout the home.
