The product, in the report: Rockwell table saw
My husband had a horrible life changing injury with a Rockwell Table saw on Feb 7, 2017. RK7241-S. I will spare you the details but a 7 hr surgery, 3 day hospital stay, 4 months of therapy and another surgery scheduled. He still has very little feeling or mobility in 3 of his fingers on his dominant hand. He is a self employed, one man show operation. Needless to say, my husband’s company is suffering, our family is suffering and we find out about the [REDACTED] technology after this happens. We are one of how many similar stories you’ve heard over the past decade or so. How many of these injuries could have been prevented. Where’s are we at now? I’m sure rods all comes down to politics and money. It really makes me ill.
I’ve read articles on injured parties suing and getting settlements from the saw manufacturers. The problem is that all the injured parties deserve the same treatment but they don’t get it. We are being turned down from everyone because we live in a state that makes product liability cases difficult and not worth the law firms time.
There should be a class action law suit for all injured parties and legislation made to stop this from happening when the technology to stop it has been around some 2003. I wonder every day how certain parties can sleep at night knowing how many lives could be very different based on their decisions.
