The product, in the report: The item is a Kobalt Cordless rechargeable LED screw driver. Model number 68686. It is shaped like a screwdriver and is blue and black in color.
I was charging Kobalt cordless 4 V LED screwdriver, model number 68686. At some point during the charging process, the cordless screwdriver turned itself on and ran continuously. I tried to shut off the screwdriver, but no switch actions would shut it off. The screwdriver became very hot and I ultimately placed it outside in the driveway just in case it caught on fire or exploded due to the lithium battery.
