The product, in the report: Tire inflator part# 40022
Consumer used Slime tire inflator with inflate right technology to inflate auto tires. Inflate right technology reports to allow consumer to set the target tire pressure and when that pressure is reached it is supposed to automatically shut off. In this case consumer set the target pressure to 35 psi and started the inflator. Instead of automatically shutting off at 35 psi, the inflator continued to inflate to 50psi when it was noticed by consumer to have not shut off. If consumer had not stopped the inflator manually, it might have over inflated the tire and caused it to rupture. This issue happened after about 3 successful tire inflations, one right after the other. This issue occurred twice. Based on observations, it may be intermitant and may require warming up the product by doing several inflations, one-after the other, before the issue is seen. First time using product and did try another to see if it had same issue.
