The product, in the report: Orange plastic high-pressure blower used for applications such as inflating “bounce houses” for children

I was using a Shanghai Master Plastic Products high-pressure “bounce house” blower in my basement for airflow to dry a clothing garment. This unit was purchased brand-new and is less than two years old. It has only been used intermittently, and has been used less than twenty hours of operation. Four hours went by, and the basement filled with smoke and the blower was making an odd noise. I ran down and unplugged it and opened doors and windows to ventilate the acrid smoke out of the house. The control box, containing a capacitor, switch, and wiring, which is mounted to the side of the motor, was melting and smoking heavily, and fire was showing present inside the plastic housing. Being near an outside door, I was able to remove the unit from the house and place it safely outdoors. After the fire was out and the unit had cooled, I cut the power cord to ensure nobody else would plug the unit in. I disassembled the control box that had caught fire and found burned, melted blobs of wiring and the capacitor was melted into a puddle of plastic inside the control box. ***the unit is equipped with (and clearly marked as containing,) thermal protection, a circuit breaker, and a GFCI plug, NONE of which tripped.*** If I had not been nearby, the house would have burned down. My partner was asleep in the bedroom at the time, which is located directly above the spot where the unit was located when it caught fire. I took pictures of the damage. I cannot locate contact information for the manufacturer.
