    The product, in the report: Kobalt 3/8” x 50’ Rubber Air Hose Item #: 336414 | Model #: SGY-AIR155

Product: Kobalt 3/8” x 50’ Rubber Air Hose, Item #: 336414 | Model #: SGY-AIR155 purchased from Lowes in La Habra, CA Product Description: 3/8” x 50’ Rubber Air Hose

Contractor-grade air hose Remains flexible from -30°F to 200°F Oil- and abrasion-resistant Will withstand intense daily use Incident: The rubber in the hose and inner shielding cracked and degraded over the length of the hose within 1 year with home owner use (several hours per week). The degraded hose blew apart projecting the steel fitting at the end of the hose into a parked vehicle with enough force to dent the vehicle. Had the fitting hit me I could have been seriously injured. With the hose blown, if I had not been home and left my air compressor on, the compressor could have run until the motor burned up, such situations can possibly start shop fires. No injury or damage occurred. I felt inclined to post a review on Lowe’s website stating this hose is hazardous to warn other buyers and Lowe’s refused to post my review nor did they respond to my safety complaint. I will email them my complaints and they should be investigated or fined for not taking my safety complaint report seriously. Thank you
