The reports, as CPSC published them
Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.
Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

Hurt, no treatment Made Apr 23, 2014, sent to the company May 2, 2014, published by CPSC May 16, 2014
The product, in the report: 2 gallon air compressor received to replace a recalled unit.
I had sent in a recalled air compressor produced by MAT Industries, LLC. Please reference: https://www.cpsc.gov/en/Recalls/2014/Air-Compressors-Recalled-by-MAT-Industries/
Upon receiving the replacement compressor, I attempted to use it for the first time. All had seemed well. However, when I attempted to release the residual pressure in the tank, I received a severe blast of air in the eye. It seems that the relief valve provided to release pressure when you are finished using the product is now pointed directly at the user (in this case, my face). And has resulted in a dry contact and painful eye. In the version before it was recalled, it was pointed away from me and there was no danger whatsoever.
I honestly feel this is a greater risk then the pre-recalled compressor. You have to release the pressure after each use. And now it’s more dangerous.
