The product, in the report: DEWALT DWFP55126 6 Gal. Air Compressor

DEWALT DWFP55126 6 Gal. Air Compressor - The regulator failed, no matter what you set it at you get the full pressure in the tank up to 165 PSIG which can be extremely DANGEROUS. On inspection of the regulator found that the orifice and orifice seat was made out of plastic which broke. Luckily, I didn’t have my paint spray gun attached which probably would have burst and sprayed polyurethane paint every where including my eyes and face. The spray gun as maximum inlet pressure of 70 PSIG. As a retired natural gas engineer I have rebuilt hundreds of low and high pressure regulators and none had plastic internal parts.
