The product, in the report: Suaoki G7 600A Peak portable car jump starter
I bought a new Suaoki jump starter off Amazon less than 30 days ago. I had it in my truck while driving down the road not connected to anything nor plugged in, the unit was turned off. Without any warning and before I could even react, smoke came billowing out of the unit and before I could blink flames were as high as the dashboard. It burned up a good portion of the interior of my truck as well as belongings and a burn to my right hand, then there is the smoke damage to the whole interior of the truck. If I had not reacted so quickly it could have been much more worse. The more research I have done, it appears that this is a common problem with these mini jump starters that use this type of lithium battery. I’m more worried that this is going to continue to happen and the outcome could be much worse. Amazon does not seem to care and has even removed the negative comment, the most they have done is refunded the purchase price.
