The product, in the report: Hererod PW40 Jump Starter
I was charging my Hererod jump starter in the living room of my home. There was suddenly a pop/hissing noise and a horrible chemical-like smell filled the room. Thankfully, I recognized it almost immediately as the jump starter, grabbed it and threw it out the front door where it melted its own self. The fire chief told me to leave it in the driveway for a few days and not to bring it back into the house, even to throw it away. I have photos of the damage to it.
