The product, in the report: Brica baby-in-sight mirror, a mirror for driving parents to check through the car’s rear view mirror on their rear-facing children
I installed a Brica baby-in-sight mirror on the headrest of the seat (2nd row, right seat behind shot gun of 2011 [REDACTED]) where my baby (14 months) sits rear-facing in her convertible car seat. I was involved in a frontal crash accident that caused all airbags to deploy. When I checked my baby if she was alright, I also noticed the mirror facing her had big cracks and the upper left corner (where the air bag might have hit) had disappeared (chipped off). The product description claimed that the product is flexible and shatter resistant but if so, the corner shouldn’t have broken off. (another brand of mirror that i got for my older child was not damaged at all) We were lucky that the broken piece of mirror didn’t hurt anyone in this accident and I hope it won’t hurt anyone in any future accidents.
