The product, in the report: Starcraft 15” x 15” Swing Away Heat Press - Silver Clamping flat iron with top clamp containing the heating element and can be swung away for better access to place materials. Max temperature setting is 400F.

This report concerns the burning and outgassing of insulation material of Starcraft heat press used for sublimation printing. A thermal fuse embedded in the insulation material between the hot plate and top enclosure of the clamp seemed to have prevented full ignition of the insulation material but still a safety issue for the material to begin burning and therefore underrated for the use case of this product. This incident occurred twice. The top clamp containing the heating plate assembly of the clamp was replaced only for the issue to reoccur.
