The product, in the report: Black and Decker RTX-B 3 speed rotary tool

I was using a black and decker RTX-B tool and I was sanding wood lightly and the unit caught on fire in my hand, and had flames come out of the unit through the vent holes under my hand. I was only very slightly burned, and it did not cause really any injury. I contacted Black and Decker and while they are replacing the unit under warranty, I asked them if the have a consumer product safety line, and they said that they usually wont do a recall unless there are a 100 units that catch on fire like this, and that they did not have a department I could talk to.

The product, in the report: 3 speed rotary cutting tool

I was using a black and decker rtx 3s tool to cut a piece of aluminum. it got warm, so I put on a glove. Lucky I did. After a couple of minutes, the tool started to smoke. Then spark. Then FLAME. Left a scorch mark on my glove. This tool is unsafe. If I have not had a glove on, i would have been shocked and burned badly.
