The product, in the report: The gun safe opens with most touch. It doesn’t matter if you use you finger, knuckle, under your arm.
I bought a wincent biometric pistol gun safe back in 2024. I keep it in an accessable location. I am the only one who who it’s programmed to open for. Today I reached over the gun safe and my arm ended up resting on the biometric scan area and the safe opened. I repeated this multiple times and every time it opened. I then asked my wife to come out and put her finger on the scanner and it opened as well. This is very irritating and disappointing considering I bought the safe for safety and I have 3 kids in the house. This needs to be looked into and something needs to be done because I’m sure this isn’t the only safe you made with this problem. This is a major accident and tragedy waiting to happen

The product, in the report: Biometric Gun Safe
I own a Wincent Biometric Gun Safe. I was shocked when an unregistered guest was able to open the safe using their fingerprint. I went online to get instructions for a reset. What I found were videos that mentioned that “Wincent had previous models in which anyone could open the safe, even using their palm, knuckle, etc. I have contacted Wincent by both phone and email with no response. I would recommend looking into this as there could be a number of owners, like me, who are unaware that their gun safe is not secure.
