The product, in the report: Simplisafe Smart Lock Series 2
Simplisafe door lock malfunctions and is not able to be manually unlocked using thumb bolt from inside of home, creating a risk due to inability to egress in the event of fire. When I lock the door from the outside it operates as intended and throws the bolt. If I return, enter from another dfdoor and attempt to open the lock manually it is not able to be moved/stuck in the locked position. I see multiple reports of this same issue on this website.

The product, in the report: Simplisafe Smartlock with Pin Pad. Item Weight: ?1.57 pounds, Product Dimensions: ?1 x 2.7 x 7.25 inches, Takes Four AA Batteries
Simplisafe Door Lock stuck in locked position, unable to move without assistance from company. When I asked the company what the plan was to fix this issue they saw it as a non-issue “just use the panic button and emergency services will come”. Where I live that is not true and also an unacceptable answer to not being able to use my door like a normal door. This product should not be able to lock the door and not be able to unlock ever as it should always work by hand or with a key. This did happen to me twice and the only solution was for the company to access a different device in the home to correct the issue (they accessed the keypad where they then removed the device and added it back but then happened again). They are also trying to blame other things like “the door” and would not move forward unless I paid a locksmith to come and confirm correct installation despite the fact that this product (and ALL other simplisafe products) are advertised as being a self installed product. I believe until this issue is corrected the locks should not be for sale in the United States. If you look around online you will see several posts on [REDACTED] and other forum sites stating this has been an issue since 2021. I just cannot imagine living in a home with children and having this be an issue in a real emergency.

The product, in the report: Simplisafe Smart Lock (White)
I have owned a SimpliSafe Smart Lock for a little over a year now, purchased around April 2020 and installed May 2020. The lock will get stuck and cannot turn manually from the inside or out without wiggling the lock multiple times. Sometimes it becomes unstuck after a quick turn to the right and back to the left. But sometimes it requires going back and forth for a while. It runs the risk of locking you inside your house. It blocks what should be an easy exit in case of emergency. I am not the only one with the issue: [REDACTED]
