The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: Brinks Push Pull Rotate Door Locks Alwood Entry Lever, Tuscan Bronze, 23013-150.

Brinks Push Pull Rotate Door Locks Alwood Entry Lever, Tuscan Bronze, 23013-150. Entry knob was used to access home from the garage. When entering the home from garage by turning the handle in a downward direction, internal mechanism of door lever failed and caused the door to be locked in the closed position. The door was unable to be opened from inside or outside, and had to be removed by unscrewing the assembly and pounding the internals out with a hammer to get the do to open. I have contacted the company and they refuse to offer a refund after 2 months of use and only offer a replacement.
