The product, in the report: 400 Series Hinged Patio Door Active Lock Mechanism 2579771 (or 7174-75)
On January 16, 2023, the lock on our 2007 Anderson 3-point locking patio door lock failed, locking us in the house. I am the homeowner, 6’3” and 210#, and I could not open the door from inside (nor later outside). While there were no injuries during the 6 days it took to unlock the door and receive/install a purchased replacement 3-pont lock, I considered this a serious fire hazard during that period for myself and family.
