The product, in the report: Owl wired smoke alarm No model number provided https://getowlhome.com/products/owl-wired-combined-smoke-carbon-monoxide-motion-climate-sensor
I bought an owl smoke detector. A few weeks after install, it started chirping every 5 minutes, I contacted support and they said the battery was defective. A couple of months later, I took the unit apart. Inside I found that the lithium ion battery had damage to it due to improper install or design. The sticky pad on the battery still had it’s paper on it, and the battery was nestled between the casing and the circuit board. The circuit board had sharp points of contact on it that the battery made contact with, I assume mostly during shipping. So seemingly due to bad assembly quality assurance, the sticky pad not being activated and the battery just free floating into the circuit board, a lithium battery was almost pierced which may have caused a fire. The battery also should not have been assembled so it was near the circuit board. I have pictures of the damage and sticky pad
