The product, in the report: One of a 4 pack of 500ml nonrefillable one time use fire extinguishers purchased from Amazon. AmzBoom Fire Stop. AmzBoom Fire Extinguisher 4 Pack with Mount Bracket Portable for Home Kitchen Car Boat BBQ Multi Purpose Fire Protection Model Number MSWJ600C ASIN B0CQRS3HWY
A small fire extinguisher mounted on the side of the fridge was found to have developed a pinhole leak over night and was spraying a fine stream into the kitchen. This was discovered by a groggy wife going to make coffee in the morning walking into the stream and getting it into her mouth and eyes.

No one hurt Made Sep 29, 2026, sent to the company Oct 8, 2026, published by CPSC Oct 23, 2026
The product, in the report: Exact title from Amazon: AmzBoom 2-Pack Fire Extinguisher for Home, Kitchen, Car, and Grill with Mounting Bracket Extinguishing Spray, Compact A, B, C, K Eco-Friendly, Prevents Reignition.
We bought this fire extinguisher from Amazon in May 2026 and stored in kitchen cabinet. In September, we hear a hissing sound and the entire contents leaked on to the floor. There are other Amazon reviews that indicate this is a repeated issue. This is a major safety hazard - people could be hurt or worse when attempting to use this product to put out a fire and it fails because the contents leaked out. This needs to be removed from Amazon and the product recalled. Full product name - AmzBoom 2-Pack Fire Extinguisher for Home, Kitchen, Car, and Grill with Mounting Bracket Extinguishing Spray

No incident, no one hurt Made Mar 31, 2026, sent to the company May 12, 2026, published by CPSC May 27, 2026
The product, in the report: Portable Emergency Fire Extinguisher-The product is packaged in a 500ml red metal aerosol can and contains a liquid foaming agent. ASIN / Product Link: [REDACTED]
Description: The product is packaged in a 500ml red metal aerosol can and contains a liquid foaming agent.
Incident & Hazard Description: Although marketed and sold as a life-saving fire extinguisher, this product fails entirely to perform its intended function. Based on extensive research and video testing evidence, the extinguishing agent inside resembles ordinary shaving cream rather than a certified fire retardant.
The most critical and dangerous issue is that the moment this foam contacts an open flame, it acts as a highly dangerous accelerant, causing an instant flashover (rapid ignition). Instead of suppressing the fire, it violently enlarges and spreads the flames. The manufacturing cost of this product is estimated at a negligent $0.50 USD, which is terrifying for a device meant to save lives.
Scale of the Threat: Alarmingly, this product is currently a top seller on Amazon.com, with monthly sales exceeding 15,000 units. This means this defective product is actively putting more than 15,000 households at severe risk of catastrophic fire damage, injury, or death every single month. If deployed during a real house fire, it will actively worsen the situation.
I would like to reiterate that this is a highly critical and urgent case. These inferior “fire extinguishers” are essentially ticking time bombs for the consumers who trust them for emergency situations. Given the massive sales volume on Amazon, I sincerely hope that the CPSC can intervene quickly and strictly regulate such dangerous, defective life-safety products on e-commerce platforms before a tragic fire accident occurs.
