The product, in the report: Kitchen faucet

Kohler faucets like the Model: K-596-CP have an internal hose that breaks and leaks causing water damage and mold issues. My faucet has needed 3 hoses in 5 years. Kohler replaces the hose without a charge but tha5 does not include labor. A lot of people would need a plumber to replace the hose or just replace the faulty faucet.

The product, in the report: Kohler kitchen faucet

I purchased a Kohler faucet for my condo about 4 years ago. On February 22, 2011, the faucet hot water line burst causing more than $15,000 in damages. During repair of the damaged faucet, two certified plumbers were concerned about the line that burst. Without knowledge of one another, each stated that the faucet malfunctioned.

Immediately, I contacted Kohler representatives who filed a loss claim on my behalf. As requested by Kohler, I sent the malfunctioned faucet to their office. Since I had homeowner’s insurance, In a certified letter, I asked Kohler to settle for the out-of-pocket expenses I incurred. To date, Kohler has been negligent in resolving their commitment of lifetime warranty.

An example of a negligent act was when Kohler transferred the claim to Gallagher Bassett Services who assured me that their job was to resolve the matter. Rather than seek resolution, I have been given the run around that Kohler is “continually” reviewing the damaged faucet. This review has been in their office since March 2011 which leads me to believe that Kohler is using Gallagher as a third-party staller.

After contacting [REDACTED], Gallagher’s adjustor, on numerous occasions, I am completely exhausted. Every phone conversation ends with the same tale, “I just contacted Kohler and they (Kohler) are still reviewing the faucet!” I believe that my loss has been Kohler’s gain to approve inferior manufactured products that hurt consumers then hire buffers like Gallagher to delay investigations.

Therefore, I am asking that the matter be investigated not only as a product failure, but a safety matter that resulted in undue loss.
