  1. No one hurt

The product, in the report: Hansgrohe Kitchen faucet with nozzle on hose. Model Hans-Grohe 06460860 (Allegro Gourmet Kitchen Fauce

I had done a home remodel and purchased a what believe high quality Hansgrohe kitchen faucet with spray nozzle. What has happened is the faucet head has an array of soft rubber which collects black mold. Not other fixture (mostly [REDACTED] and originally [REDACTED]) in my home has this issue.

I contacted Hansgrohe and their reply is denial of any issue and claim they use mold resistant rubber. I have requested warnings and maintenance information on their product, however when I was sold the product I was not told it is more a health hazard than other fixures.

The product, in the report: The Holder for our handshower manufactured by Hansgrohe. The Holder is used to hold on to the hand-held shower when not in use, or when used as a regular (fixed) shower. http://www.hansgrohe-usa.com/us_en/120788_31353734375F32375F3630333435.htm

Our handheld shower fell out of its holder and hit my three-year old son on the head. Several years ago the same thing happened with my daughter (5 at the time).

The handheld shower and handshower holder are manufactured by Hansgrohe. The part number that failed (the Holder) is: 28321003 Handshower Holder (Chrome) by Hansgrohe.

I installed the shower in 2006 and the same part has failed every year within 10-12 months of installation. Hansgrohe has been nice enough to send us a replacement part, but the part design has remained the same. The handheld shower is actually pretty heavy and has the potential to really hurt someone. We have been lucky and both my son and my daughter were not seriosly hurt in both incidents.

The part fails in exactly the same place each year and is the plastic component that “wraps” around the handheld shower. I have kept most of the failed parts.
