No one hurt Made Sep 22, 2020, sent to the company Oct 20, 2020, published by CPSC Nov 10, 2020
The product, in the report: Delta 1-Spray 7.5 in. Single Wall Mount Rain Shower Head in Chrome (Model #75174C) https://www.homedepot.com/p/Delta-1-Spray-7-5-in-Single-Wall-Mount-Fixed-Rain-Shower-Head-in-Chrome-75174C/303333763
While showering (without even touching the shower head) and no warning signs heard or observed the Delta Faucet Shower Head and rod (Model #75174C) came crashing down just missing my head. The force of the product falling easily could have damaged my bathtub but luckily it did not. When the product broke, water began shooting out from the broken part on the side of the attachment right up and over our shower curtain causing our bathroom to flood, water dripping down the walls and damage to furniture in the room (wooden towel shelf and rug). While the incident occurred, I was in my home alone, so nobody would have been able to help me had the product fallen and hit me in the head... which likely could have knocked me out. I have pictures of the product and how it broke. After calming down from what had occurred (and trying to clean my bathroom of the damage), I looked on Home Depots web site (where we purchased the shower head from approximately 1 year ago) to find other reviews of the exact same situation happening to other owners, with pictures to prove it... some complaints date back to 2019. I reached out to Delta Faucets Customer Service via [REDACTED] and received a response requesting that I provide them with my address, personal info, and date of installation. I provided the requested information with the exception of the date of instillation (as this is not something that a home owner would typically document). I stated that I am not comfortable using this product ever again as it seems I am not the only person who this has happened to and it is very dangerous and was very scary- especially being home alone. The only way the company would consider me for a reimbursement is if I provided the following information: 1. proof of purchase 2. letter of explanation explaining what I am seeking and what led up to the damage 3. pictures of the damage stating that they must be able to see the damage up close and that pictures must show the location of the damages in the unit. Pictures must also be in color, well lit and in focus. 4. Photographs of the entire installation site, including the bathtub, base, surround, floor, and walls around installation pocket area. 5. Two estimates for like replacement on letterhead from licensed contractors. 6. Request must be for like replacement. 7. The estimates need to be on letter head from licensed contractors. They will not consider anything else. They indicated that if any information above is not provided that they will not even consider the claim. I stated that this is not a reasonable request and that I was very disappointed with their customer service. Their only other solution is to provide me with a free replacement of the clearly faulty model that had broken in my home and other reviewers home or offered me 70% off of a product replacement on their web site. When looking on their site, I quickly realized that their prices were WELL ABOVE the prices of other stores, like Home Depot, for the same model number of their product. I am very concerned that this product is going to end up severely injuring someone and/or damaging their home and things inside of it. Not only that but the situation was very stressful, loud, and frightening.

The product, in the report: Bathroom faucet
The aerator on this Delta 592-DST bathroom faucet is made of plastic. Black mold forms on this aerator to the point that pieces of black mold flake off and will fall into a glass with pouring water. I have cleaned this aerator several times. The mold will form again within about four to six months of use. This is disgusting, and probably hazardous.

The product, in the report: Faucet
The consumer says that after he installed it, he went to use it. He rubbed his right hand on the edge of the snout and cut his hand because the edge was very sharp. He filed it down but it is still rather sharp.
The consumer contacted the manufacturer and the rep said that they would escalate the issue.

The product, in the report: Delta In2ition Two-In-One hand held shower heads
I recently bought 2 Delta In2ition Two-In-One hand held shower heads at my local Home Depot. The Delta item number is 75584D. There is a serious problem with these shower heads as the handset will fall out of the cradle with the slightest touch of the handle or even the cord. It’s a very long cord, so when the handset falls out it hits the bottom of the bathtub. I can only imagine if some child was taking a bath and touched the cord, it could fall on their head and seriously hurt (or even kill) a small child. The handset is pretty heavy, so it is entirely possible. Since our children are grown, I worry about it falling on our toes. You guys need to either come up with a fix for this item to hold it more securely in the cradle, or recall it before some gets injured.
