The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

The product, in the report: Shower theromostatic faucet

The thermostatic shower installation is unsafe and leaks. We have complained to Universal Plumbing in Oak Park, MI and straight to California Faucets. The unit fails to balance water temperature properly and scalds occupants. Flushing the toilet or turning on a sink causes a 30 deg. F swing in water temperature when MI plumbing code only allows for a 5 deg shift. California Faucets says we’re too sensitive. We have measured the failure with a thermocouple to show the failure. This items poses a safety risk in the form of a scalding and should be removed from the shelves from MI. It is blatantly safety hazard and California Faucets has no plans to fix anything.
