The product, in the report: 2023 Jacuzzi J-385 Hot Tub
I have a 2023 Jacuzzi J-385 hottub and the rotating jets have pressed in pins that after time come loose. When this happens they become lodged on the jet creating puncture hazzard. This has happened so far with two jets. The first jet punctured the back of my leg. The second jet was located in the center of my lower back. The angle of the jet and the protruding pin are in a very DANGEROUS location. When the pin punctures your skin the natural reflex is to stand up which causes it to rip your skin.

The product, in the report: Jacuzzi hot tub J245 2020
My Jacuzzi hot tub panel read 94 degrees Fahrenheit. My daughter and a friend used it and a few minutes later they exited and complained it was really hot. I checked the temperature with a manual thermometer and it was 106 degrees. After trying to troubleshoot I noticed that there was a recall of similar hot tubs but my 2020 J200 series is not included. Wondering why since Im having the same problem.

No incident, no one hurt Made Dec 8, 2023, sent to the company Dec 13, 2023, published by CPSC Dec 28, 2023
The product, in the report: Jacuzzi brand hot tub, model J-355
Jacuzzi hot tub actual temperature greatly exceeded set temperature. Model J-355 was purchased in March 2019, and worked well until recently. Even though temperature was set for 98 deg F, we found it to be much too hot. Checked actual temperature with a cooking thermometer - over 110 degrees. At one point the lights within the hot tub cabinet were glowing red - indicating unsafe conditions. No injuries.
Jacuzzi does have an active recall on newer versions of this hot tub for a failed sensor, but our tub was built prior to the period covered by the recall.

The product, in the report: Jacuzzi J345 Hot tub
I got in the tub when the reported water temperature was 100 F , raised the temperature to 102 F, and 20 minutes later the water’s reported temperature was 81 degrees F. I think this behavior explains why sometimes when I go to use the hot tub, the temperature is above 104 degrees, or the reported water temperature and actual water temperature are very different.

Hurt, no treatment Made Apr 17, 2023, sent to the company Apr 20, 2023, published by CPSC May 4, 2023
The product, in the report: Jacuzzi 2 person hot tub
My girlfriend and I got into our Jacuzzi J315 hot tub. For the first time this spring. It felt really really hot to me. I jumped out. She got in and said that it was really hot too, so hot it was burning her. She got back out. We both had very dark red marks on our legs in less than 5 minutes. The setting and current LCD panel reading said 98°F. I put a digital thermometer in and it read over 120° F and was still going up. I turned the setting down to 75°F and rechecked it in a few days and I measured 95°F with my digital thermometer. I replaced the temp sensor and the LCD immediately read 96°F. Today I learned that there was a recall on certain J315 sensors manufactured after a specific date past 2020. My unit was built 9/11/19 and was not covered by this recall. If it would have been, our tub would have been repaired and we wouldn’t have gotten burnt.

Hurt, no treatment Made Dec 19, 2022, sent to the company Jan 20, 2023, published by CPSC Feb 3, 2023
The product, in the report: hot tub
The original owner purchased it in 7/2/2020 and noticed that it seemed hotter during use. However, that owner said they used the tub about a temperature of 95 degrees, which was comfortable for them.
9/2022: The consumer purchased the hottub and set it up in his home. From the very first time he used it, he experienced the excessively hot water temperature. The consumer set the hot up to 104 degrees and jumped in the hot tub for less than 1 minute. He said his body was extremely red, but returned to normal the very next day. No medical care was needed.
At the time of that incident, the control board read 104 degrees, but when he used an external thermometer, it was 112 degrees.
12/19/2022: The consumer contacted the firm twice after seeing a recall ([REDACTED]) on the product. However, the rep. told him that his model was not included in the recall. The consumer asked for a manager to call him back, but no one did on that day.
A few hours later, he called the firm and spoke with [REDACTED] (last name unknown). He once again asked for a manager to call him. The consumer was told that a manager would call him back, but no time frame was given.
The consumer is concerned that the recall may need to be expanded to include more models.
He said that the recall is related to a temperature sensor problem and his problem is identical to the one mentioned in the recall.
On 12-20-22 a manager from the manufacturer returned my call. She was very helpful. I explained that this is a safety problem.
Shee said they would be sending a repair tech to replace the sensor at no cost. Should be here on 12/30/22. Thank you to Jacuzzi for addressing this issue. I do feel this recall should be added for other years. Thanks!

Emergency room Made Dec 6, 2022, sent to the company Dec 9, 2022, published by CPSC Dec 23, 2022
The product, in the report: J355 Jacuzzi hot tub.
This is to advise of an injury to me which is directly attributable to the operation of a J-355 Jacuzzi hot tub acquired from Premium Spa and Billiards (“Premium Spa”) in Ashburn VA, which purchase was made on or about July 26, 2008, and/or to the work performed by Premium Spa on or about September 22, 2017 when it replaced the heating mechanism. I understand that Premium Spa and Billiards is a fictitious name for Rynex Enterprises, Inc. Premium Spa was, at all relevant times, an authorized distributor and agent for Jacuzzi, Inc., which manufactured the J-355. The injury is to my left foot which received second degree burns as I attempted to enter the hot tub located in my backyard in [REDACTED]. A diagnosis of my injury was made on the date of the injury at Emergency Room in the [REDACTED]. I have reason to believe that at the time of the injury, the temperature of the hot tub was 160 F or higher. My foot has substantially, but not fully, healed as of this date, and I believe I have permanent injury to the nerves of my left foot.

The product, in the report: Jacuzzi J-355 Spa ZE120MBDP J355 PLAT MAH 60HZ SS
I went to get into my hot tub last night as normal, I turned on the lights and the display on it was showing 101 degrees as the current temperature. As soon as I stepped into the hot tub I had a searing pain in my feet. It turns out I received first degree burns because as I found out later using a kitchen thermometer the actual temperature of my hot tub was 126 degrees.
When I tried to press buttons on the control pad all but the lighting buttons were un responsive, which caused me to not think twice about getting in.
The control and froze one other time on this unit, however, I caught it early on before the temperatures ever rose and thought it was just a glitch and never thought twice about it.
The model is a Jacuzzi J-355 the we purchased in November/December 2017
